- Apply as an individual under their own name.
- Be the business owner or an authorized signatory.
- Be a U.S. citizen or legal resident with a FICO score of 600 or higher.
- Operate a business with at least $40,000 in annual revenue.

Shipping & Delivery
How will my order ship?
Depending on its size, your order will ship by UPS Ground or on one or more pallets via a 48-foot to 53-foot semi-trailer.
Does someone need to be available to accept delivery?
No one needs to be available for a UPS Ground delivery. For a shipment arriving by semi-trailer, someone must be present to accept the shipment, sign for it and unload the pallet or pallets.
Who is responsible for unloading a palletized shipment?
The customer is responsible for unloading palletized shipments and must have enough personnel and appropriate equipment available. The driver will bring the pallet or pallets to the end of the truck or trailer; the customer must remove them from that point.
What is the difference between LTL and full truckload unloading?
- LTL shipments: Travel on 48-foot or 53-foot trailers. Liftgate service is available for skids up to 84 inches long. Liftgates cannot handle skids longer than 7 feet.
- FTL shipments: Full truckload deliveries do not include driver assistance or a pallet jack. The receiving location must have a loading dock, suitable equipment or enough staff to remove the pallets.
How much time is allowed to unload a freight shipment?
Free unloading time is based on the shipment's actual weight. Time beyond these limits will result in detention fees from the freight carrier.
| Shipment Weight | Free Unloading Time |
|---|---|
| Less than 1,000 lbs. | 15 minutes |
| 1,000–2,500 lbs. | 30 minutes |
| 2,501–5,000 lbs. | 60 minutes |
| 5,001–10,000 lbs. | 90 minutes |
| 10,001+ lbs. | 120 minutes |
What are the standard delivery hours?
Standard delivery hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. If your receiving hours are different, inform Jamestown Advanced Products before the order ships. If a carrier arrives during standard hours and the shipment cannot be received, re-delivery fees will apply.
Will the LTL carrier call before delivery?
LTL carriers do not call ahead to schedule delivery. A scheduled delivery appointment may be requested for an additional $35.
How are products packaged for shipment?
Products shipped by LTL or full truckload are palletized, inspected, shrink-wrapped and banded. “Do Not Stack” tape is used when needed to reduce the risk of transit damage.
Most products ship unassembled to reduce freight damage and improve shipping efficiency. Assembly instructions are available on the Jamestown Advanced Products website or by request.
Can I pick up my order at Jamestown Advanced Products?
Yes. Jamestown Advanced Products will schedule pickup with the customer before the order is completed. New York State sales tax applies to pickup orders unless a valid exemption is provided.
- Standard shipping delay policies still apply.
- Orders are packed using the standard method unless other arrangements are made.
- The pickup vehicle must be appropriate for the load and have enough wall height to secure it.
Jamestown Advanced Products reserves the right to refuse release if the vehicle is too small or cannot safely secure the merchandise.
What should I do if my shipment arrives damaged?
- Inspect the entire shipment at delivery.
- Note all visible damage on the delivery slip before signing.
- Report visible or concealed shipping damage to Jamestown Advanced Products within five business days of delivery.
Failure to document visible damage at delivery or report concealed damage within five business days may affect your ability to file a claim. Do not hire an outside contractor to inspect or repair a product without prior written approval; unauthorized third-party charges will not be reimbursed.
Payment Options
What payment methods does Jamestown Advanced Products accept?
Available payment methods include:
- Credit card
- ACH
- Personal or business check
- Wire transfer
- Credit Key financing
Can I pay by credit card for an order over $25,000?
No. Credit cards are not accepted for orders over $25,000. ACH, check, wire transfer or approved Credit Key financing may be used instead.
Returns, Warranties & Shortages
Do I need authorization before returning a product?
Yes. Call a customer service representative at 800-452-0639 before returning any product to receive a Returned Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Place the RMA number on the outside of every returned package.
Returns received without an RMA number will be subject to a 25% restocking fee, provided all other return requirements are met.
How long do I have to return a standard product?
- Within 30 days of receipt: Standard, non-custom products may be returned for a full refund or exchange with no restocking fee.
- After 30 days but within 60 days of the invoice date: A return may be accepted at Jamestown Advanced Products' discretion and is subject to a 25% restocking fee.
- After 60 days from the invoice date: Returns are not accepted.
All parts must be in their original packaging, undamaged, complete and in resellable condition. Credit is issued only after inspection and approval. Missing components will be billed before credit is issued.
Can custom or made-to-order products be returned?
No. The return policy does not apply to custom or made-to-order products, including products with custom colors, logos, special modifications or products manufactured outside Jamestown Advanced Products' standard offering.
Who pays return freight?
All returns must be shipped freight prepaid. Jamestown Advanced Products does not accept C.O.D. return shipments.
If an order is canceled after it ships, the customer is responsible for all freight charges and any applicable restocking fees. Canceling or returning an order that originally qualified for free freight voids that eligibility, and the customer will be billed for full freight costs to and from the shipping location.
Where should an authorized return be shipped?
After receiving an RMA number, ship the prepaid return to:
Jamestown Advanced Products, Corp.2855 Girts Road
Jamestown, NY 14701
What product warranty does Jamestown Advanced Products provide?
- Products and components, excluding lumber: Five-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.
- Power outlets and their components: One-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.
Coverage begins on the delivery date. If a product or component fails within the warranty period, coverage is limited to manufacturer repair or replacement of the defective part at the manufacturer's discretion. A claim must be filed during the warranty period and include a copy of the invoice or purchase order.
What conditions must be met for the warranty to remain valid?
The product must:
- Be assembled and installed according to the manufacturer's specifications and instructions.
- Be properly maintained according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Remain unaltered, without parts added or removed or other modifications.
- Not be subjected to misuse, vandalism, negligence or accidental damage.
- Be reported to the seller promptly in writing when a problem occurs.
- Not have been shipped outside the continental United States before the claim.
What is excluded from warranty coverage?
The warranties do not cover:
- Vandalism.
- Incorrect assembly, installation or application.
- Natural or man-made disasters.
- Weather-related cosmetic changes, including paint fading or burning off and wood discoloration.
- Scratches, dents or marring caused by normal use or public exposure.
- Season checks, twisting or splintering of wood caused by climatic differences or improper maintenance.
- Loss or damage in transit.
- Damage associated with accelerant use. Accelerants should never be used in charcoal grills or wood fire rings.
Lumber is supplied to industry standards and may contain yard markings. Objections or concerns about lumber integrity must be reported within one week of receiving the product.
Except as specifically stated, all express or implied warranties—including implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose—are excluded. The warranty also excludes liability beyond the remedies expressly stated, including incidental or consequential damages.
How long do I have to report a shortage?
Report missing parts, components or hardware within 30 days of receipt. Check all contents against the packing list as soon as the order arrives.
Shortages reported after the 30-day window are not the responsibility of Jamestown Advanced Products, and missing items will need to be purchased by the customer.
Materials & Finishes
What material and finishing options are available?
Available options vary by product and may include powder coat, premium powder coat, thermoplastic, recycled plastic and lumber. Review the individual product specifications or speak with a representative to confirm the available materials, finish combinations and color choices for a specific model.
Which enhanced powder coat colors are available?
Enhanced powder coat colors include Black, Blue, Brown, Green and Gray. Color availability may depend on the product and configuration.
What coating is used on fire rings and grills?
Jamestown Advanced Products fire rings and grills use PPG's “World Class” Heat Resistant Envirocron® powder coating. It is engineered to provide physical and chemical resistance under heat exposure.
How much heat can the fire ring and grill coating withstand?
Under controlled conditions, the heat-resistant powder coating is designed to withstand temperatures up to 600°F for up to one hour. Actual performance varies with use and environmental conditions.
Long-term coating performance may be affected by:
- The use of accelerants such as lighter fluid or gasoline.
- The duration and frequency of extended high-heat burns.
- The type of wood or fuel used.
- The intensity and concentration of heat exposure.
How can I help protect the finish on a fire ring or grill?
Follow standard fire-safety practices and the recommended maintenance instructions. Do not use accelerants in charcoal grills or wood fire rings, and avoid prolonged, concentrated high-heat burns that exceed the product's intended use.
